I had a great time talking to four classes at Malcolm Elementary about writing last week. So bright! There were a couple of great questions. One fourth grade girl assumed I was famous (I had after all written two books).

My new book, A Farmer’s Alphabet, with amazing illustrations by Christina Allen, grew out of my many trips to Christina’s farm during the development of the Momma Tree illustrations. I was astounded at the diversity of life on her farm.
